I have always loved candles, for the ambience they create, the fragrance they throw, and for the glow of the flame that can fill a room with warmth, light, and relaxation. Candles have been used throughout history for a multitude of reasons; to light a home, in churches, at memorial services, in someone’s honor, at weddings, at birthdays, to create a romantic evening or soothing bath, to name just a few.  It is no wonder why candles remain one of the most popular gift giving ideas.
When I became aware of the benefits of burning an all-natural soy wax candle as derived from the soy bean, as compared to paraffin wax, which comes from the sludge at the bottom of a barrel of oil, it was a very easy and environmentally friendly decision to make the switch. I no longer have to deal with the nasty soot left at the top of jars, or the discoloring of the ceilings in my home due to the toxicity of paraffin. I just love that soy wax burns clean, is soot free, has a better scent throw,
and that it burns longer than paraffin because it burns at a much cooler temperature.
Then when I realized that I could create my own soy wax candles in my own containers in exactly the scent and color I wanted for a fraction of the cost of store bought all soy wax candles, it was a no brainer.
